Gran Canaria is an island that dazzles with its diversity and excitement. Its 60 kilometers of beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, accompanied by a year-round spring-like climate , make this destination a natural paradise for sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts, with world champions and Olympic medalists calling this land of wonders home.
Its cities and towns, with over 500 years of history, reveal unique colonial architecture and centuries-old traditions, reminding us of its fundamental role as a bridge between three continents during the discovery of the New World. This vast historical legacy is displayed in museums that connect with universal history and art.
Gran Canaria is also a paradise for sports lovers, with a perfect climate year-round . From hiking and climbing to surfing and cycling, the options are endless. Plus, the island offers unique experiences, such as camel rides, underwater dives, and exciting water parks, ensuring that boredom never sets in.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the island's capital, is a fascinating place where the essence of continental Spain blends with influences from African, Chinese, and Indian cultures. This city, the ninth largest in Spain , is a unique melting pot thanks to its geographical location between three continents. Here, the bustle of taxis, lively shopping districts, vibrant bars, and thriving port reflect the energy of a city located in the northeast of the island, surrounded by two bays and their beautiful beaches. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a charming testament to island life.
