LC Idiomas GC SLU, based at Calle República Dominicana, 17, 35010, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, offers Spanish courses subject to these Conditions, the booking and acceptance of which will constitute the "Contract".
1.2
The academy may modify these Conditions at any time in relation to future courses, and these will be published through this website.
1.3
If the course booked by the Student is no longer available, the academy will immediately inform the Student in writing or by email and will endeavor to offer an alternative course that is reasonably acceptable to the Student, but if this option is not possible, the academy has the right to cancel the Contract by notifying the student in writing to this effect and refunding any money already paid by the student for the course.
RESERVATIONS AND CONDITIONS FOR SPANISH COURSES AND PROGRAMS
2.1 Reservations for General Courses and Leisure Programs. The reservation fee for these courses must be paid in full before the start of the training in order to guarantee the reservation of the place in the requested course.
2.2 Booking individual and mini-group classes. The academy reserves the right to release the time slot for individual or mini-group sessions if no response is received from the student regarding the renewal of the voucher within 24 hours of notification of the voucher's expiration.
2.3 Validity of the hourly voucher (individual and mini-group). Vouchers for individual or mini-group classes will have a validity period of up to 8 weeks. If the voucher is for 30 hours or more, this validity period is extended to 15 weeks.
2.4 SIELE and DELE exam preparation courses. Access to the course will be subject to the recommendations made by the Academic Coordination team based on the student's level.
2.5. In the General Plus and Intensive courses, it is mandatory to complete the individual sessions within the 4-week course period. Once this period has passed, any missed sessions cannot be made up.
2.6. Level tests for access to Spanish programs may not be carried out within the established academic hours.
2.7. Students may request changes or modifications to their accommodation by contacting our educational institution's customer service department at 928 90 90 54.
WITHDRAWAL, CANCELLATION, NO-SHOW AND/OR ABANDONMENT OF THE PROGRAM BY THE CONSUMER
3.1. If a consumer decides to cancel the contracted program, they must notify Language Campus in writing.
The consumer will be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid to Language Campus. However, the consumer must pay, and Language Campus may retain, the amount corresponding to damages caused to Language Campus, including all expenses of any kind incurred by Language Campus to date, including but not limited to: payments to third parties involved in the program: schools, residences, insurance companies, telephone calls, as well as any other infrastructure and/or logistical expenses, among others.
To inform the consumer of the approximate amount of the withholdings or charges that will be applied, and regardless of their subsequent determination, the withholdings or charges for disposal will amount to:
Management fees calculated at a minimum of €300 non-refundable.
50% of the total program amount, if the cancellation occurs between 20 and 45 days before the program start date.
75% of the total program amount, if the cancellation occurs between 10 and 20 days before the program start date.
85% of the total program amount, if the cancellation occurs between 3 and 10 days before the program start date.
100% if the cancellation occurs within the previous 48 hours, or if the consumer does not appear at the departure or, once the program has started, leaves it of their own volition, that of their parents or legal representatives, or is expelled from the program.
3.2 Withdrawals from the General Course and Leisure Programs must be notified before the 25th of the month prior to the month in which you wish to terminate the contract. To do so, you must send an email to mesaylopez@lcampus.co or 7palmas@lcampus.co with the student's full name, ID number, and the reason for withdrawal.
3.3. In the case of the General Course, withdrawal will only be possible for work-related reasons, if the student cannot attend (after verification with a certificate issued by the employer), health reasons (medical certificate) or change of residence outside the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
STATEMENT ON HEALTH STATUS
4.1 Students must indicate on the application form if they suffer from any of the following conditions:
Language Campus reserves the right to refuse enrollment to any student, or to terminate their training, if their continued participation could pose a risk to their own health and safety, or to that of any staff member. In such cases, Language Campus will decide on the applicable refund policy at its sole discretion.
HOLIDAYS
5.1 There will be no classes on public holidays and the academy facilities will be closed. All scheduled group course start dates fall on a Monday, unless it is a public holiday, in which case they will begin the following day, Tuesday. No compensation will be given for classes not offered on public holidays.
REPLACEMENT POLICY
6.1 If a student is deemed to have been placed at a level unsuitable for the chosen program or course, the academy reserves the right to relocate the student to a class appropriate to their level, which may have fewer class hours and different content. We also reserve the right to cancel any program or course at short notice due to insufficient enrollment.
6.2 In the event that a teacher notifies a change of availability or the end of the employment relationship with the school, Language Campus reserves the right to assign a substitute teacher for said training.
PAY
7.1 Individual, Mini Group, Intensive, General Plus, and Exam Preparation Courses. The full cost of the course must be paid to the center no later than 7 days before the course start date (payment deadline).
7.2 All reservations are subject to acceptance by Language Campus.
7.3 Language Campus reserves the right to invoice the course fee at any time after the booking has been accepted.
7.4 All course price payments must be made in Euros.
7.5 The center reserves the right to increase the course price by any amount that is reasonable under the circumstances, informing the Student at any time before the course start date. Any increase in the course price will result from any increase in costs to the center due to factors beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, increases in: tax increases, government measures, and labor costs.
7.6 Any increase in the course price will not affect the students' legal right to cancel the contract.
7.7 Registration: At the beginning of all training actions offered in the Language Campus catalog, payment of an amount as a registration fee is required.
7.8 Proof of Payment. Language Campus may require the client to provide documentary proof of payment for their course, both before and at the start of the course. Failure to provide such proof may result in denial of access to the course.
BOOKS AND LEARNING MATERIALS
8.1 Throughout their program, students will have access to the necessary books and learning materials at all times. Some specialized programs may require the purchase of additional books or manuals.
8.2 The cost of the books will be listed in the academy's catalog according to the level and purpose of the training. In addition, students in individual or small group classes who do not wish to purchase a book may request photocopiable materials for €15.
CANCELLATIONS
9.1 Individual and Mini-Group Classes. Individual classes, mini-group classes, and the individual portion of the General Plus and Intensive courses can be canceled and rescheduled provided that formal notification is given at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled class. This notification must be made via WhatsApp directly to the academy's reception. Classes canceled outside of this timeframe will be deducted from the total cost and cannot be rescheduled, rescheduled, or reassigned.
9.2 All bank charges incurred by the center in connection with the reimbursement of any course fee or deposit will be reimbursed by the Student without delay.
RETURNS
10.1 No refunds are permitted for individual class/mini group vouchers.
10.2 In group courses, refunds are not permitted unless the minimum number of participants required to start the course (8 people) is not reached; the student cannot attend due to work reasons (subject to verification with a certificate issued by the employer); or the course has been opened at a different time than the availability provided at the time of the booking.
CHANGE OF COURSE
11.1 Language Campus reserves the right to change or cancel a course, venue or facilities, without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its control; or when the level of bookings received does not reach the minimum number necessary to operate a course in a viable manner.
11.2 In the event of a course change by Language Campus, the center will offer an alternative course, venue or facilities or a refund (of the fees paid) and you agree that you will not have any further claim against Language Campus in respect of any course change.
RESPONSIBILITY
12.1 Language Campus will not assume any liability to the Student for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation arising in connection with the Student's participation in the Courses provided by Language Campus, except in connection with death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the center or its employees.
12.2 Language Campus will not assume any liability to the Student for losses, damages, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation arising in connection with the cancellation or delays of classes or as a result of any event or action outside the control of the center, including, but not limited to, traffic jams, adverse weather, public transport and illness.
STUDENTS
13.1 Student Illness. In case of illness or injury, Language Campus will follow the instructions of the attending medical personnel, unless otherwise indicated by the parents/guardians. In case of a medical emergency, all students will be taken to the nearest hospital or clinic.
13.2 Language Campus reserves the right to take any fair and reasonable measures it deems appropriate in the event of a situation not covered by these Terms and Conditions.
13.3 Absence. Any participant who does not attend each and every class in the program will not be entitled to any refund for missed classes. Likewise, participants will forfeit their right to receive a course completion certificate unless they have attended at least 80% of the classes.
EXCLUSION AND EXPULSION
14.1 A student will be expelled from participation in courses taught by Language Campus if, in the reasonable opinion of the center, the student has behaved in a manner that amounts to a serious offense.
The student will be expelled from the course with immediate effect and must return home, at their parents' expense if they are a minor, as soon as possible. No refunds will be offered for the remaining days the student is expelled from the training.
Reasons for expulsion may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Purchase or use of illegal drugs,
Purchase or use of alcohol,
Involvement in violent or abusive behavior,
Possession of weapons,
Any other serious crime.
14.2 Student Code of Conduct:
During their time at Language Campus, students agree to abide by the policies and rules of the student code of conduct. As part of Language Campus's commitment to our students, we strive to provide the best possible learning environment, and therefore, we expect exemplary and respectful behavior from them. Inappropriate behaviors include the following:
Disturbances in the learning environment (foul language, harassment, or use of mobile phones in class, among others);
Deliberate destruction, misuse or theft of any item owned by Language Campus or other students;
To commit violence or make threats against other students, against Language Campus staff or against its property;
Inappropriate use of the Internet;
Violation of local criminal copyright laws that prohibit the appropriation, copying, or modification of any copyrighted material; or
Failure to declare any pre-existing medical or mental condition.
CLAIMS
We work hard to ensure that students receive a service that meets their expectations. However, it is possible that, on occasion, you may not be entirely satisfied with the service provided. All Language Campus staff are at your disposal to assist you should you have any questions or problems. If you are not satisfied with the services provided, please follow the steps below to find the best solution to your problem.
Training: If you have any problems or questions regarding your classes or learning, please discuss them with your teacher first. If, after speaking with your teacher, you haven't found a satisfactory solution or answer to your problem, please speak directly to reception.
Administration: If you are not satisfied with any matter relating to the administration of your course, such as payment handling or course dates, please contact reception directly.

Validity and resolution
The terms and conditions expressed herein apply to any contract agreed between LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU and any user of the portal www.lcampus.co who places an order through the Internet (hereinafter “customer”) unless otherwise established in the particular conditions of each specific course.
In the event of any modification of these terms, the general terms and conditions of sale in force on the day of the order will apply to each order.
All orders imply full acceptance of these conditions.
Since the courses are conducted entirely online due to their nature (digital content), the right of withdrawal will not apply in accordance with the provisions of Article 103 letter m) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU reserves the right to modify the website's commercial offer (modifications to products, prices, promotions and other commercial and service conditions) at any time, although such modifications will not apply to contracts already made.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU reserves the right to assign the contractual position to any company that is part of its group of companies in accordance with the provisions of article 42 of the Commercial Code in conjunction with article 18 of the Capital Companies Law.

Applicable legislation and competent jurisdiction
Sales transactions carried out with LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU are subject to Spanish legislation.

RESPONSIBILITY
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU shall not be liable for any breach of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale if such breach is caused by force majeure. By way of example and not limitation, force majeure shall include the declaration by the competent authorities of a state of alarm, exception, siege, or health alerts, such as epidemics or pandemics that prevent or seriously hinder the provision of the service; any other circumstances of force majeure, such as general or partial strikes affecting the sector, armed uprisings, wars, natural disasters, massive failures of telecommunications networks or electricity supplies, floods, as well as any events accepted as force majeure in rulings issued by the Supreme Court of Spain before or after the occurrence of the event that prevents the proper provision of the service. In the event of any force majeure event, LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU shall not be obligated to refund any amounts paid by users up to the date of the force majeure event.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU will not be responsible for any type of interruption or failure in the application of the services due to force majeure.
The choice or purchase of a product or service will be the sole responsibility of the customer: the total or partial impossibility of using the products due to an incompatibility of the materials will not give rise to any type of claim, refund or legal action against LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU.
In cases where courses involve the use of information technologies, such as internet access, the client must have the necessary means to meet the technical requirements for accessing the courses. To this end, they must have an updated operating system, an internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 50 Mbps, and up-to-date antivirus software. LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU keeps its systems updated and takes maximum precautions to prevent identity theft or computer viruses; however, LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU will not be liable for any damages or losses that may arise from interference, omissions, interruptions, computer viruses, telephone malfunctions, or disconnections in the client's operational functioning, caused by factors beyond the company's control. LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU is not liable for delays or blockages in the use of courses caused by deficiencies or overloads of telephone lines or overloads on the Internet or other electronic systems, as well as damages that may be caused by third parties through illegitimate intrusions outside the control of LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU.

CUSTOMER RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
The client has expressly requested and received from LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU the necessary information about the course to be followed, with its characteristics, service, study fees and payment method.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU undertakes to provide the client with the necessary educational content and online support for the complete development of the course in which they have enrolled, according to the study modality they have chosen.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU may issue and deliver to the client, once the course has been successfully completed and all payments have been made, a Diploma or Certificate of Completion of the studies undertaken, upon payment of the issuance and shipping fees. These studies do not have official academic validity.
The client agrees to pay the full amount of the Tuition Fees, Registration Fees, and Accreditation Fees, in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in this Contract. The payment schedule for these fees is entirely separate from the study schedule. However, the client may complete their studies in less time than the contracted payment period, provided they pay the invoices corresponding to the lessons taken in advance.
The client agrees to retain the access credentials to the online training area, as well as any other study materials, with LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU retaining ownership until the full agreed fees have been paid. Registration is personal and non-transferable unless expressly authorized by LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU. The cancellation of access credentials and return of study materials by the student's unilateral decision will not exempt them from fully complying with the terms of this contract.
The client acknowledges understanding and comprehension of the Spanish language sufficiently, as well as the contract that he/she voluntarily subscribes to, expressly acknowledging that he/she has sufficient knowledge of the Spanish language, both oral and written, to carry out the course he/she is contracting, and that he/she can therefore undertake the study and preparation thereof, carrying out, in the event that LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU considers it necessary, a test of comprehension with answers in his/her own handwriting, being informed that the acquisition of the Course in no case facilitates, nor gives him/her the right to obtain, a work or residence permit in Spain.
The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that the information provided to LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU is complete, accurate, and truthful. Likewise, the Client is solely responsible for keeping the contact information provided to LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU up to date. Communications from LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU to the Client will be valid and effective only if sent to the contact information provided by the Client. Should the Client change their contact information (for example, address, telephone number, or email address), they must notify LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU.
LC IDIOMAS GC, SLU's mission is the preparation and provision of courses, but in no case does it guarantee that the Client will obtain a job, promotion, or an increase in income.
